Today’s Preschool Backpacks Are Kid Approved

While toddler backpacks certainly have a function to perform, there is no reason why they also can’t be fun, exciting, and creatively designed. For generations, virtually every backpack maker has operated under the false assumption that the only thing a backpack can do is carry books, thus forgetting any and all of the diverse visual and tactile things that a backpack can do besides just carry books. This simple combination of willful neglect on the part of producers and aesthetic apathy on the part of consumers forged the way for generations of boring backpacks that condescended to children’s budding senses of style. This has been the situation for years and years.

That is until now, when the design teams at brands such as Stephen Joseph have recognized a void in the market that can be filled with creatively patterned preschool backpacks that are also durable and useful. These backpacks are all based on classic kids themes that are present in every child’s life. These include construction and fireman themed backpacks for boys and ballerina and floral designs for little girls. If it is possible for a backpack to be more than just a backpack, this is it. For a backpack that truly shines, look no further than Stephen Joseph’s line of innovative toddler backpacks.

Bunk Beds In Your Children’s Bedroom

For as long as I can remember, kids bunk beds have been a staple furniture piece for children’s bedrooms. Parents may deny it all they want, but a child’s bedroom is not quite as joyful and fun when there is no bunk bed. So the question that begs to be answered is, what is it about a bunk bed that have children begging their parents for one? Children simply love being around a bunk bed! Whether it is sleep overs, or just siblings bonding through a bunk bed, bunk beds are always a popular choice for kids. Well, without analyzing a child’s mind, it is rather hard to imagine why a bunk bed is so desired, but I think I can take a few good guesses!
Lets see. Is it the elevated bed? I would think that a bed being elevated may be the most popular reasons for bunk beds being so popular. Adults may find it hard to imagine why anyone would like to climb up and down to get to their bed, but if you had as much energy as a kid, you would want a bunk bed too! Children have tons of energy and are constantly thinking of imaginative creative things literally all day and night! A bunk bed that is elevated gives them the ability to imagine creative settings when climbing up the latter. This can exercise their mind as well as body.
Well, I am sure there are hundreds of thousands of reasons for children loving bunk beds. But when it comes down to it, it is purely the elevated bed that makes it so fun for them!

Ideas For Toddler Halloween Costumes: Who Will Your Toddler Be This Year?

Make your toddler’s first Halloween experiences memorable. There are a wide variety of toddler Halloween costumes available and often the choices can become overwhelming. One idea is to dress your toddler up as his or her favorite movie star or cartoon character. Toddler costumes are available in traditional styles as well. Some of the toddler Halloween costumes that caught my eye this year are included here.

Bob-the-Builder is popular with toddler boys. The Bob-the-Builder costume includes a checkered shirt, overalls, hard hat, and a few tools to carry in his tool belt. This Halloween costume is adorable and doesn’t cover your child’s face so he will be able to enjoy all of his party games with friends without having to worry about losing his mask or getting his make-up messed up.

Harry Potter/Hermione costumes are another great idea for toddlers. The Hogwarts uniform includes a robe and neck tie. There are additions you can make to customize and add to this costume such as a wand to complete the look.

This may seem obvious, but creating a ghost costume is a good idea if you’re on a tight budget and would prefer to make your own costume. A bed sheet or pillow case makes a great starting place but this costume can be made easily with a white sweat outfit and some face paint as well. If you’re using a sheet, it can be made to cover the whole head and body making it difficult to tell your toddler apart from other kids or you can cut a whole for your toddler’s head and then have the sheet cover the body area only. By using this method, you’ll be able to tell your child apart from other children and still have a great costume. To add a unique touch on an old classic, use a thin white sheet, get a bunch of glow sticks and attach them to your child’s shirt. This would give a cool glowing affect to your toddler’s ghostly costume!

If you prefer to find a cute costume for your toddler, here’s an option you might want to consider. Your toddler can be cute as a bug in a Lady Bug or Butterfly costume this year. Bugs and animals are very popular costumes for toddlers. These costumes can be home made or purchased already made. Other bugs are available as well such as the adorable caterpillar costume. Brightly colored bug costumes usually go over really well with toddlers as they are fun to play with as well as pretty enough to keep your child’s attention and get your child excited about the holiday.

One company you might want to consider when purchasing a bug or animal costume is Tom Arma costumes. These costumes are of the highest quality and they are some of the absolute cutest costumes around! They are a bit on the pricier side, but well worth the Halloween pictures of your toddler that you’ll get to cherish forever.

By the way, check out Tom Arma’s infant Halloween costumes. They are simply adorable!

There are many other toddler Halloween costumes available this year. The possibilities are nearly limitless. [spin]Just keep a few things in mind when choosing a costume for your toddler. Choose one your child is going to be able to wear while playing the games and enjoying a Halloween party as well as going trick-or-treating or whatever your family enjoys doing for Halloween.

There are a few other things to keep in mind when choosing a toddler Halloween costume. First you should make sure your toddler can go to the bathroom or at least be taken out of the costume quickly at potty time to avoid accidents. Another thing you want to keep in mind is that your child needs to be able to eat treats, walk, and play without being restricted. It’s important you can see your child’s face and differentiate your child from other children whether at a party or trick-or-treating. You don’t want to lose your child in the crowd either. If you can see your child’s face it is easier to keep track of your little monster.

Furnishing Your Room To Save Money

For many college students, it is often hard to keep track of where all your expense goes. During my college years, I was often financially lost as money seemed to just disappear from of my bank account. From food, gas, to rent, the expenses are quite enormous! Fortunately, some of us have jobs to support our spending habits but for others, credit cards come as a short term refuge from being poor. Little do many college students know, credit card debt is possibly one of the most long-term damaging things to endure in their early years.
So with that said, what are some ways to save money? While there are some extreme changes in order to save money, many are simply smaller things that can help you manage your money!

There are various options that may save you a bundle of money. For example, furnishing your college apartment is one thing many college students tend to overspend on. Seeing as how a dorm room is quite small, one of the best ways to save money and space is by sleeping on a bunk bed. A twin over twin bunk bed or even a loft bed for one can save you a load of space as well as some money as bunk beds cost a little more than a standard bed but when two people split the cost, it is quite cheap!

Finding Great Kids Art

When redecorating the nursery or kids’ room, many people forget how important it is to hang some real art. In the last few years, it has become easier than ever to purchase fun art for kids. Kids art should be colorful and exciting, but also friendly and comforting.

An innovative company that sells original art for kids is Oopsy Daisy Fine Art for Kids. Oopsy Daisy has become, in the last decade, one of the premier sources of original children’s art. These original pieces are bought from around the world, supporting artists and many artist communities. The original work is reproduced into high quality stretched canvas prints that are suitable for hanging. Oopsy Daisy also supports children’s charities and organizations, supporting their mission to make kid’s spaces joyful places.

I really think decorating the nursery is the perfect time to branch out into some of the delightful images produced by Oopsy Daisy. Of course, you want to make sure the art matches the general décor of the nursery or kids room. For example, a jungle theme can be highlighted with an authentic jungle scene depicting lions or tigers. Oopsy Daisy also has many prints of activities like basketball, dancing, and surfing. No matter your theme or child’s interests, the right framed piece of kids art will bring the room together, and reinforce their passions in their room.

Upright Piano Cover - Your Upright Piano Cover Can Look Fantastic

Over the last decade I have received some peculiar requests from people with request for making a piano cover that will becovering much more than pianos. The requests have been to cover either odd items or odd patterns to cover a traditional piano. I have taken a few moments to list some of my favorites in the paragraphs that follow.

Dog House Cover. A woman in Wisconsin called and asked if we could make a custom fitted, waterproof cover that could fit the specifications of her dog house. She and her husband were having a discussion about the potential to keep their dog as an inside dog because of the damage the dog had done in recent weeks to their belongings when they were both at work during the day. The solution was to leave the dog outside all day but she was concerned about the outdoor elements (both cold and rain) and wanted us to make a cover that would enclose her dog house. We were able to talk her out of it and to get her to build out her dog house to one that is more weather appropriate and we did not hear back from them again.

Team Logos. We have lots of requests to put spin]professional|college[/spin]team logos on covers. We can put them on the front part of the cover, directly above the keys, we can make the grand piano cover with the logo on the side of the cover and we can place them in a larger setting directly on the top of the piano. The logo requests are not very hard to do because most of the time we can get pretty good designs from the teams web site. The tricky part of the request is when people ask us to dye the cover to match the team colors. We have done them in Black and Red, Blue and Gold, Red and White and even Purple and Yellow. Dyeing a piano cover can be pretty expensive, but the piano covers did look terrific.

House Décor. Probably the best concept to justify the need for an unconventional upright piano cover is when the customer wants a piano cover to match the décor of a certain room in their house. These are the types of clients who tend to not have finaincial limitations so they are willing to pay a good deal of money to get what they are after. Some of the most memorable have been pink and green colors, family plaid patterns, very cool designs for ultra modern music rooms and even requests to make a piano cover that will match the pattern of a couch or love seat.

We can meet particular needs but the customers need to remember that these custom piano covers take extra effort and many times will cost five to eight times the cost of a traditional piano cover. Personally, I am partial to a traditional black or brown vinyl cover, but I have never been considered a trendy kind of guy.

Advice On Car Baby Seats

Baby Car Seat Review

Perhaps the most valuable investment you can make for your child’s safety is the proper car seat. Yet, in 2005, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that, according to a multi-year study, misuse occurred in 79.5 percent of the child safety seats inspected. By failing to properly use the safety restraints, the study reports, many parents unknowingly put their child in peril. Many people, in the study, allowed the harness straps and safety belt attachments to be too loose. The same study by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration calls these types of misuses of safety seats the most ‘critical,’ because the possibility for injury is so great.

Keep in mind three things as you pick out a car safety seat: your child’s age, weight, and the position of the seat. Many parents put their child in rear-facing car seats, but this should only be done if the child is less than one year old and smaller than twenty pounds. These types of seats are designed especially for babies; they are a snug fit and small and portable. As with all child safety restraints, infant car seats should always be placed in the back seat and only in the rear-facing position.

Many parents do not see the purpose of an infant-only seat, choosing instead to go with a more flexible convertible seat. Frequently more bulky, these car seats are heavier to make room to hold your growing baby. Place children in a rear-facing position in the convertible seat if they weigh less than 20 pounds or under one year of age. Convertible seats can then be put in a forward-facing position once the child reaches the age or weight requirement, until they reach a maximum weight of 40 pounds. It doesn’t matter which seat you choose for the child; what does matter is that you use it correctly. Two tools to help in this are the vehicle owner guide and the seat manufacturer guide. There are two sets of buckles to worry about: those that put the baby into place, and those that do the same for the car seat. The harness straps should be firm-fitting around the baby’s chest and it is important that you slip it into the right slot. If strapping the harness into a slot position in a convertible, the appropriate slots are above or at the shoulder; if using an infant car seat, the appropriate place is below. Always check the owner’s manual for proper placement, but the harness clip should be at armpit level and the straps should not be twisted.

Baby Seat Buying Guide and more here on Infant Car Seat Covers.
The path of the safety belt depends upon the position you have it in, so make sure your path is correct, and tilt your seat back at about a 45 degree angle. A rolled towel under the base helps secure the seat into position. After installing the towel, tighten the safety belt. For any car that has LATCH systems, the owner must take note of that and make sure their seat is installed the way their car seat guide and vehicle ownership guide detail. Other important facts to keep in mind are the general seat age and condition. If buying a used seat, keep in mind that it should not be over five years old and must come with the seat buyer’s guide. If you suspect your seat has been in an accident or is missing parts, it is better to be safe than sorry and do not buy it.
